    CRUZEN, is a premier 8-piece variety dance band that is based in the St. Louis area, and was originally formed in the mid- 1970s. The band appeared with original membership intact In the St. Louis area for many years. After disappearing from the scene for a few years, the Cruzen band was reformed with new members in 2000 and has been playing continuously, while featuring several of the top players in the metropolitan area since that time.

    The present Cruzen line up consists of Al Hibbet (trumpet), Jake Welty (sax), Steve Smith (bass), Angelo Caraffa (drums), Roger Reinhardt (keyboards), Reece Reeder (guitar), Kristen Goodman (vocals), and Herman White (vocals). All members have acquired a wealth of musical knowledge and experience and they have shared the stage with many well- known local and national acts. The diverse backgrounds of the individual Cruzen players blend a variety of musical styles and taste into a memorable amalgamation of sound. On any given night at a Cruzen show one might hear everything from Billie Holiday to Santana. Although the song list varies from show to show, there will always be a mix of Pop, Rock,  Motown, Swing, Disco, R&B or any other thing that may be conducive to pleasing the audience.

    Cruzen is a main-stage act with accomplished people who love to perform. The band has appeared in many venues over the past few years both inside and outside the metropolitan area, and was recently featured on the T.V. show, ‘Best of STL’. Cruzen features a state-of-the-art sound and light show, the band loves top dance halls, private parties, corporate events, festivals, fairs, weddings and any other place where there are people who just want to dance and enjoy themselves.
